結合不銹鋼煙囪生產技術文獻以及自己的實踐經驗總結出不銹鋼煙囪材料鈍化的必要性
 
為了提高不銹鋼雙絕緣不銹鋼煙囪在熱力教學環境介質中的穩定性。不銹鋼需要鈍化,鈍化處理的不銹鋼在金屬電位序列中處于更正的位置,即類似于貴金屬,化學性質穩定,而未鈍化的不銹鋼為活化狀態,處理電位處于更負的位置,與普通鋼材相似。
 
不銹鋼煙囪材料鈍化也是為了更好地防止不銹鋼的局部腐蝕。一般不銹鋼煙囪不易產生各種腐蝕,包括點蝕、晶間腐蝕、磨損腐蝕和腐蝕疲勞等,都與外觀狀態有關。鈍化可以消除每次腐蝕的萌芽源,使臨界點腐蝕電位變為正值,從而更好地防止不銹鋼煙囪的局部腐蝕。
 
鈍化使不銹鋼煙囪外觀具有足夠的清潔度。鈍化可以消除不銹鋼煙囪外表面的金屬污染物,以及嵌入不銹鋼中的雜質,如銅、鋅、鎘、鉛和低熔金屬,從鐵中溜走,使煙囪的外觀含鉻、鎳富集且穩定。這些金屬污染很難招致不銹鋼煙囪材料腐蝕損壞。
 
消除不銹鋼煙囪外部熱作氧化物。在鈍化過程中使用含氫氟酸的硝酸溶液,蝕刻不銹鋼煙囪既有蝕刻氧化物又有鈍化外觀的作用。
 
鈍化處理作為后處理要求,不銹鋼煙囪材料有多種預處理。包括噴砂、拋丸、電化學拋光和化學拋光,以改善鈍化處理前的不銹鋼材料外觀。
